Welcome to the Taylor County Tea Party About Us Page.
We are a group of taxpayers that formed in 2009 out of concern for the direction our federal government was headed. We subscribe to the belief that we have been and are being:

Already
We are:
- Non-partisan, non-profit, non-biased, and very informal.
- Small business people, hourly workers, and retirees in the several communities of this part of North Florida.
- People that do read bills and legislation to the extent they can be understood.
- Seeking the favor and wisdom of God our creator upon our nation and our elected officials.
- Unpaid volunteers.
- Believers that our elected officials in Congress should represent the beliefs and will of the majority of voters on all issues as per a representative democracy.
We are not:
- Rednecks or racists. We don't think calling a group of other Americans a derogatory name is the right thing to do.
- Funded, directed, planned, or assisted by any other organization as to the content of our website or rallies.
- Endorsing any particular candidate.
- Paying people to attend town hall meetings or any other type of function.
We try to hold rallies occasionally in an effort to educate the voting public as to what is happening in our nation, and in turn ask them to bring or tell a friend, co-worker, or neighbor.
It is our desire to bring to the spotlight issues that are detrimental to the future of our nation, and educate our fellow citizens on these issues by presenting factual information so that each citizen can make an informed decision when it comes time to vote. It’s our hope by doing this that each citizen will evaluate what is happening, and apply what they learn, and that they will share this information with their friends and neighbors as well as their elected officials.
We support a return to adherence to the U.S. Constitution by the Congress and administration. We urge the Congress to work to slow the growth of government, live within its means, and save for the future.

The Tax Foundation says that because of the unprecedented budget deficit of over $1.5 trillion, it will take each individual until May 29 to pay their taxes this year. On May 30th, you begin working for yourself instead of your government. This is wrong! Join others here and across the country by participating in the rally.
Are you fed up with a Congress and a President who:
· vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it?
· are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying?
· consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected?
· want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others?
· punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not?
· admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda?
· run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China?
· want government controlled health care?
· want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections?
· refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country?
· appoint a defender of child pornography to the Number 2 position in the Justice Department?
· want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will?
· want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home heating fuels?
· want to reduce your tax deductibility for charitable gifts?
· take money from your family budget to pay for their federal budget?
